Bethlehem Baptist Missionary Church Youth Choir at the Theater

The Saluda County Historical Society welcomed the Bethlehem Baptist Missionary Church Youth Choir to the Historic Saluda Theater on the Courthouse Square on February 23. The Youth Choir is directed by Ida Bosket Coates and Shontaye Hill with Ms. Helen Robinson serving as advisor.

The Saluda Theater was the ideal place for the beautiful voices of these young people to fill the high ceilings and overflow into the hearts of everyone in the audience. The Choir did such a splendid job making the audience feel happy and joyful by singing a number of selections such as “Hosanna Blessed be the Rock”.

Two young men, with clear and strong voices, were soloists for the group. Keith Hammond was the soloist for “Let There Be Peace on Earth” and Desmond Gantt for “Let It Rise”. The Choir was accompanied by keyboard and drums.

A reception was held at the Saluda Historical Society after the presentation. Society members were able to meet the young people and their leaders and thank them for their beautiful program.
